Where Sanity Returned
Myra Kelly
Working notes
It is due to my job that the picture is named “Where sanity returned,” as just that day, I had been working frantically to finish off various things, to enable me drive up north on holiday, and after driving for an hour or so I still felt somewhat stressed and ephemerally attached to an umbilical cord of communication: emails, work telephone, home telephone, radio, etc. I hadn't even noticed my surroundings had changed and grown more rural, until I turned a corner and saw this scene. I stopped the car and began to breath deeply, feeling the work stress leaving my body like dust on the wind.
About the artist

I am 46 years old and live in historic Dunfermline in Fife, Scotland. I have an adult son, a husband, two dogs, and a nutjob cat. I love to cook, read, and walk around my local town, which is steeped in Scottish history yet is lucky enough to be situated on the cusp of a green belt. So there are plenty of places to walk the dogs and enjoy the scenery. I am currently studying for a B.A. in Literature in my spare time, because I am going to write that book some day. I now work as a chartered health and safety consultant in the construction industry.
